- Sunscreen / Solar Mesh: Made of heavy-duty vinyl-coated polyester (Teslin or HDPE), these block harsh UV rays and glare without ruining your view. They lower outdoor temperatures while allowing cool breezes to pass through.
- Clear PVC: If your goal is blocking cold drafts and monsoon rains, clear PVC blocks the weather while keeping your view crystal clear.
- Fabric Weights: High-quality fabrics start around 300 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) or higher. Higher GSM indicates a thicker, more tear-resistant material.
Hardware & Operation
- Zip-Track Systems: Instead of flapping loosely in the wind, the fabric edges are locked into side tracks. This prevents bugs from getting in and creates a wind barrier.
- Crank or Motorized: Corded chains can break or pose safety hazards. Heavy-duty blinds use a solid steel crank or a motorized smart-home motor controlled via remote.
A 160g polyester fabric with double PU coating. Thanks to some technical features and sealed seams, it offers good waterproofing and tension, it is certainly a reliable fabric for the entry-level range, which performs its rain protection functions well. An environmentally friendly fabric, made of highly ecological polypropylene and suitable for recycling.
